Bar & Bat Mitzvah Class - Shabbat

On Sunday, we explored Shabbat through learning, discussion and hands-on activities. We started with Tefillah, and then opened with a question: If you had to explain to someone who knows nothing about Shabbat what it is all about, what would you say?

From there we learned about the mitzvah of separating Challah, where it comes from and what ideas we can take from it into our lives today.

Then came the fun part, baking! While making our Challot, we discussed why challah is such a special part of Shabbat, why we have two Challot, and why we cover them before Kiddush.

After a break, we continued learning about Shabbat from our booklet and explored different traditions and meanings behind Shabbat. We finished by enjoying the beautiful challot that we made together ๐Ÿ˜Š

Wishing you all Shabbat Shalom,
