Pesach Activities with Kadimah Students 🐫
On Friday, we held an interactive “Escape Room” experience, planned by Yaniv and led by year 8 and us, and it was incredible!
This kids had to build pyramids, searched for clues in bloody waters, had to dig out candles from Ice, to make their own Matzah and so much more ✨
Bar & Bat Mitzvah Class - Pesach and Tradition ✨
This week in our Bar/Bat Mitzvah group, we explored the story of the Exodus from Egypt – the plagues, the miracles, and the journey through the desert. We talked about how a journey that could have taken one week stretched into 40 years, and what lessons we can take from that for our lives today. 🏜️✨
In the second part, Rabbi Netanel joined us to talk about tradition and passing knowledge from generation to generation. We looked at the Mishnah in Pirkei Avot and how the debates of previous generations shaped the laws and ways of life we follow today. The kids asked thoughtful questions and shared great insights. 💡
At the end of the lesson, we went to see how kitchen utensils are prepared for Passover. Rabbi Netanel explained the process while we watched Ariel demonstrate it in action. 🍽️
Matzah Making with the Preschoolers 🔥
On Tuesday, we joined the lovely preschoolers in making a special Matzah! While we were busy baking the Matzah quickly, the kids sang us beautiful Pesach songs and even showed us their dances :)
Coming Up:
Mimouna Celebrations!
Mimouna is the traditional Moroccan celebration when Pesach ends, when we enjoy the first Chametz after the Chag.
The word “Mimouna” comes from Arabic and it is translated to "the holiday of faith". It is called that because even though the Mashiach didn't arrive during Pesach, we believe that he will come soon and this is our way to show our faith.
The Mimouna known for its special food, Mufletta (crepe with butter and honey), and some families also makes Sfinj (looks like a doughnut, covered with sugar).
Join us at the end of Pesach to celebrate in our home!
