Shabbat Bamidbar

Yom Yerushalayim with Kadimah students

On Monday, we were talking with the students about Yom Yerushalayim (ื™ื•ื ื™ืจื•ืฉืœื™ื) - Jerusalem Day. On Jerusalem Day, we celebrate the reunification of the city of Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. This happened during the Six-Day war in 1967.

Before the war there were 20 years in which the Israelis could not go to the Old City, including the Western Wall - the Kotel. During the Six-Day war, the Israeli army managed to liberate the eastern part of the city and reunite Jerusalem. This was a very exciting moment for all of Israel to be able to return to those holy and historical places.

Since then, every year we celebrate Jerusalem Day to remember this special moment and to be thankful that Jerusalem is in Israeli hands. On this day, we remember our deep and historical connection to this city, which is the heart of Israel and of the Jewish people.

According to the custom, we gave the students notes to write their wishes on and Bโ€H we will take them all with us to the Western Wall in Jerusalem in July :)

Shavuot with Preschool ๐ŸŒพ

Today our sweet preschoolers joined us in shul to talk about upcoming Shavuot and got a chance to see the Torah up close โœจ

We sang a beautiful song and heard the blessings of the Torah and each kid got a chance to hold the Yad and look at the words of the Torah. It was a fun and exciting experience and we are looking forward to learning more with these kids :)

Wishing you all Shabbat Shalom,
Ariel, Roni, Tomer and Arbel HaCohen
:)
