Shabbat Chayei Sara

The Big Annual Challah Bake 2025!

On Thursday, we joined together for a spiritual Challah Bake evening at the hall and had over 70 women (and men!) who kneaded and braided their Challahs. This year’s theme was gratitude, focusing on the good things in our lives and thanking Hashem for all of it. The evening was touching and we deeply appreciate everyone who took a part and made this event so unique.

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Class - with a special guest speaker!

This Sunday, we had a great class with Azriel Glick, who taught us about his work as a Sofer Stam - a scribe who can transcribe Torah scrolls, Tefillin and Mezuzah. We learnt about the different Sifrei Kodesh the Sofer makes, what the letters look like and why. We even got the chance to write our names!

A big thank you to Azriel for coming to our class, explaining and teaching us.
