Shabbat Miketz

Our hearts are broken by the devastating terror attack that took place at Bondi Beach on Sunday. We hold the victims and their families close in our thoughts and stand with the Jewish community in Australia.
We are praying for the fast and full recovery of those who were hurt, including our close family member - Gefen Ben Esther.
In these painful days, we are trying to choose resilience, to care for one another and to bring light where there is darkness.

Chanukah On The Lawn ๐ŸŽ‰

On Sunday, we had a wonderful event here on site, celebrating the 1st night of Chanukah!

Over 400 people came to enjoy the wonderful stalls by our wider community members, fun and creative activities, the bouncy castle and the happy and cheerful environment. Later, we gathered in the Shul and Rabbi Netanel led the 1st Candle lighting of the year with much joy and beautiful songs.

A big Kol Hakavod to our amazing Bnei and Habo mads for their great help with the setup, the activities and the reset ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Chanukah celebration with Kadimah Students ๐Ÿ•ฏโœก

On Monday, we had our Chanukah activities with Kadimah School- a fun Chanukah quiz with great questions and challenges! The students showed us their knowledge about Chanukah and had lots of fun and good Chanukah spirit!

A huge Kol Hakavod and thank you to the incredible Hebrew & Jewish Studies teachers, Rinat and Yaniv, for working with us on this wonderful activity :)

A Prayer and Candlelight Service

On Monday evening, we joined in prayer for those who were injured, for the souls of those who were killed and for their families. We came together - members of different Jewish communities, supporters and a few honourable guests, led by the Prime Minister - to light the candles, to stand united and to bring more light into a world where darkness seeks to grow.

It was an uplifting and powerful event and all of the speakers brought senses of unity, certainty and strength. We concluded the event with lighting the 2nd candle of Chanukah and with songs that lifted up our spirits.

Mummy & Me Morning at Shalom Court
