Bar & Bat Mitzvah Class - Yom HaZikaron & Yom HaAtzmaut
On Sunday, we learnt about Yom HaZikaron and talked about the importance of memory and knowing our past. Ariel shared Erez’s story, Ariel’s dear friend who died as a soldier in a terror attack on January 2017.
In the second part of the class, we were exploring Israel’s map, we learnt about different places and Israeli facts.
We are holding a morning service almost every Sunday at 9am and we would appreciate if more community members would be able to join us and help with the Minyan. Thank you!
Yom HaZikaron Community Service at Beth Shalom
On Tuesday night, we held an emotional ceremony at Beth Shalom, with a variety of people from all over Auckland. Following the ceremony, we got together for "Sharim V'Zochrim", singing and remembering the Fallen.
Big thank you to the ZFNZ and to Beth Shalom for hosting the ceremony and to participants from the AHC, Kadimah, AUJS, Bnei Akiva and Habonim Dror.
