Kadimah’s Siddur presentation
Mazal Tov Year 3! So proud of these little ones getting their Siddur and putting on such a sweet and informative show for all.
We love seeing them come with their siddurim every morning to Tfila and doing their best to follow.
Shalom Court’s first post lockdown visit!
We had the privilege of visiting Shalom Court last week and speaking to all the amazing attendees.
It was a 45 minute session of sharing some of the different challenges we all had during lockdown. We really felt everyone wanted to share a story, a thought or just a strange feeling that occurred at those odd times.
We were pleased to be there and listen and share some of our fun experiences including giving birth and having a mom/mother in law in isolation, during lockdown.
We had such a wonderful lunch prepared by sweet volunteers and are really excited to be going back at least once a month!
Zoom meeting with Minister Omer Yankelevitz
Last week we hosted a zoom meeting with the Minister of Diaspora Affairs from the Israeli government - Omer Yankelevitch.
During the meeting, leaders from the Jewish Community in New Zealand spoke about the achievements, challenges and some remarkable personal stories.
Together with the minister, we tried to find ways to strengthen the relationship between the state of Israel and the small but amazing Jewish community here in New Zealand .
Since then, we have followed up on the meeting and have many ideas to make these initiatives come true.
On Tuesday, we had a meeting with the minister's office to discuss a new program we wish to bring to New Zealand.
Thank you to all participants for taking part in this important meeting.
We might be far from each other but we are always connected.
Attached is the full zoom meeting for those interested.
Theo’s Bar Mitzvah!
Mazal Tov to the fabulous Theo Robinson. What a voice, what volume and what a positive and humoristic personality.
Thank you Robinson family for including us in your Simcha, it was beautiful and delicious!
Serious, tough or sad, whatever class we are giving, we know we can always count on Theo to make it funny and lift the spirit.
May your laugh, optimism and sweet personality keep growing through life and may you never stop smiling!
