Parashat Ki Teitzei
Chodesh Elul is here!
This week we started the month of Elul and it means that we have started to blow the Shofar from now and until the High Holidays.
Ariel visited preschool and showed the kids the different type of Shofar, what they are made from and what do they sound like.
Bar & Bat Mitzvah Class - The History Of The Jewish People
We started this week’s session with our daily Tefillah, where Ariel showed the kids the Shofar we’ve started blowing for the month of Elul. It was a lovely opportunity to talk about this special time of year and getting ready for the High Holidays.
We then jumped into our Bar & Bat Mitzvah session and started exploring the history of the Jewish people, looking at our timeline from the creation of the world all the way to the establishment of the State of Israel. We had some really deep conversations and some very interesting questions from the kids!
We finished with a Jewish Knowledge Quiz, which was lots of fun and definitely brought out some competitive spirit 😂. It was so great to see how much Jewish knowledge the kids have- from class and from home!
