Shabbat Beha’alotcha
Being Israeli in New Zealand whilst craziness is going on at home is a real challenge, much like being a Jew here. Feeling the hate and imbalance from the media and people around you, made us realize how much we are “not at home” in any way. That said, Sunday’s rally bought so much light and warmth to our hearts and, we are sure, to many more. There was no yelling, marching or chanting. Singing, dancing, religions coming together and demanding peace were the main voices of the rally. Standing there we were beyond proud to say that for now, we belong to this community, these people, such wonderful supporters.
Thank you to every person for showing up, in the rain and cold, not letting anyone scare you off and showing your love and support to Israel, our home.
Shabbat Nasso
While writing this Shavuon last week, we had one hope in our hearts- that this time a week later, we wouldn’t need to write about it again. Unfortunately, our home is still under attack.
Although we can’t fully feel the pain and fear our friends & family are experiencing in Israel, we must do our best to stand together.
Especially when were so far.
This Sunday we will be stopping everything and getting together to show solidarity.
We can’t think of anything more important then showing up and being present.
We all know that if for even one minute the Jews in NZ would be at risk, Israel would be the first to bring them home. It’s our turn to stand up and remind our people and the world, who we are and that we are all in this TOGETHER,
Shabbat Shalom :)
Shabbat Bamidbar
Home. The place we love more than anything else, is bleeding. Just a minute ago we witnessed the awful accident in Meron and now Israelis are once again fighting for their lives and running into shelters. Many beautiful fields and forests are being burnt and the country is hurting. We feel the best way to win this is to continue living, strong and empowered, to show we cannot be defeated!
Come see how we lived life to the full this week been, together with young adults, Bar Mitzvah kids, Kadimah students and the whole community…
Shabbat Shalom :)
Shabbat Behar-Bechukotai
This past week is one that will be written in history and never forgotten.
At times like these we feel an urgent need to help, support and be present at home. Seeing we are temporarily supporting our NZ home, we found a way to support from far.. come give a hand, each one of us can make a small difference.
Shabbat Shalom and may we never witness such tragedies again.
Shabbat Emor
Beautiful scenery and some amazing people, camp preparations and fun coming up THIS SUNDAY!
Make sure you don’t miss out!
Looking forward to seeing you all at the bonfire snacking on some hot potatoes :)
Shabbat Shalom!
Shabbat Achrei Mot-Kedoshim
Falafel, Hummus, Cotton candy, Daglanut, Dam Hamacabim sticker, Flight to Israel, BA seminar and so much more were just a glimpse of this week’s craziness.
Thank you all for taking part in such a meaningful and important week.
Come check out some fun pictures and hear a bit of what this week was all about…
Shabbat Shalom!
Shabbat Tazria-Metzora
This time of year is always a hard one for us.
Far from family, friends, those we lost and our country yet, being here with all of you, reminds us the importance of bringing Israel here so you can feel just a bit closer and part of the big picture, the Jewish nation.
Come hear about this week’s meaningful events we had, cooking in honour of the fallen soldiers and celebrating our home, the state of Israel.
Shabbat Shmini
What Jewish teens in NZ know about the Holocaust, anti-Semitism in schools, partisans during WWII and all the information you need for the upcoming events.
Wishing you all a meaningful week!
Shabbat Shvii Shel Pesach
It’s been a crazy ride..
Thankful for what we have and for the people surrounding us.
Hope to be back on track soon :)
